+ Calabasas Fitness Center

Work out Type: Full Body Strength and Conditioning

Minutes: 60

Location: Calabasas, California

Class Pass Credits: 4 - 5

Recommended Instructors: Matt, Ben, Kasie, Max

Good to Know: I recommend work-out gloves

Calabasas Fitness Center holds the top spot on my list of workout classes for several good reasons. Specializing in full-body HIIT circuit training, this center delivers an intense workout that caters to all fitness levels, enabling you to select weights and intensity that suit you best. The class format consists of a warm-up, followed by rotations through 8 different exercise stations - six 40 second intervals, and ending in a final stretch. Usually you can navigate through stations solo or can partner up with a friend or alongside someone from the community which is nice. I’ve personally made new friends this way! The high vibe music is on point and the all instructors are super knowledgeable and friendly. Their unparalleled attention to form and personalized care surpasses every studio I’ve tried in the San Fernando Valley. With top of the line equipment, complimentary towels, changing rooms and showers that feel like a high-end spa, and easy parking for around 12 dollars, this center elevates the workout experience and you get your bang for your buck. After a class here, you'll leave feeling stronger, leaner, rejuvenated and healthier. I highly recommend giving CFC a try, you'll be so happy later for discovering this gem.

+ Dig

Work out Type: TRX Full Body Strength and Conditioning, Indoor Cycling

Minutes: 35-60

Location: Calabasas, California

Class Pass Credits: 4 - 6

Recommended Instructors: Nabil, Jason, David

Good to Know: I recommend work out gloves

Dig is super solid. They have a few signature classes to choose from: TRX Strength Training, Indoor Cycling or Dig Duo - which is 30 minutes of indoor cycling followed by 30 minutes of Strength Training. Their Strength Training sessions emphasize the use of TRX Suspension and like anything you’ll get good at the TRX if you go consistently. One aspect I particularly love about Dig is that you get an intense Strength Training workout in a short period of time. Great for when you’re on the go and want to squeeze something in and be in and out. I’ve been going to Nabil for years and he’s terrific.

+ Bunda

Work out Type: 1/2 Resistance Training, 1/2 StairMaster

Minutes: 50

Location: Woodland Hills, Encino, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, all throughout California

Class Pass Credits: 5 - 8

Recommended Instructors: Josh

Good to Know: Make sure to get your parking validated, work out gloves are recommended. On Butt and Leg days, extra Bunda equipment is required for an added fee

Every now and then I like to switch up my workout routine and take a Bunda class. The format at Bunda offers a predictable yet effective workout structure. The class divides its focus between intervals of cardio utilizing the StairMaster and the other half concentrating on resistance training. Depending on the day, the resistance training could target Arms and Abs, Butt and Legs, Glutecamp, or encompass a Total Body workout. The studio uses quality equipment and has a low-light upbeat ambiance. Josh is a great instructor with well curated playlists, his energy and motivational approach enhances the class experience.

+ V Studios

Work out Type: Pilates

Minutes: 45

Location: Calabasas, California

Class Pass Credits: 6 - 11

V Studios is a newer contemporary Pilates studio in the heart of Calabasas and they have done a great job with the aesthetic and overall experience. Their classes are conducted on the Reformer machine and cater to all levels: they offer Visionary classes for beginners, Victorious classes for intermediate levels, and Vitality classes with a focus on stretching, meditation, and breath work. Class format includes a warm-up, full body work out and a stretch at the end. The equipment is nice, the music is fire and all of the instructors are good and lovely which makes a great combo for Pilates enthusiasts.

+ Pure Barre

Work out Type: Barre

Minutes: 50

Location: Woodland Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Thousand Oaks, Nationwide

Class Pass Credits: 6 - 8

Recommended Instructors: Stacy, Mariana

Good to Know: Sticky socks are required

I absolutely adore Pure Barre. Their specialized technique offers a high-intensity, low-impact workout that effectively strengthens and tones the body using precise, small movements. Stacy in Woodland Hills is amazing, always high vibe energy here. The classes tend to fill up quickly due to growing popularity.

+ Pilates Plus

Pilates Plus is a solid Pilates studio offering high-intensity, blood-pumping Pilates on the Megaformer machine. The studio boasts a low-lit vibey ambiance and high vibe music. You will experience effective toning and tightening workouts here. Classes tend to fill up quickly and their pricing leans toward the higher side.

+ Soul Cycle

Work out Type: Cycle

Minutes: 45

Location: Brentwood, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Nationwide

Class Pass Credits: 8 - 11

Good to Know: Class is free on your birthday!

Soul Cycle is one of the most popular cycling studios in the USA. An insider tip that's not as widely known is that SoulCycle classes are so much cheaper when booked through ClassPass. The experience is akin to working out at a bumpin club, it’s as high vibe energy as it gets. Their candlelit studios and showers enhance the whole experience. Though it's a bit of a drive from the Valley, SoulCycle is a perfect spot for a solo self-care outing or a fun girlfriend date, making it an ideal way to kick off your day on a positive note.
