Navigating the Signs for a Leap of Faith

Tamarindo, Costa Rica

“It takes a tremendous amount of energy and courage to walk a new path.”

-Dr. Joe Dispenza

Greetings and Pura Vida as they say in the vibrant spirit of Tamarindo, Costa Rica, where I currently reside. I’m Audrey, and I’m so happy to welcome you to my blog High Vibe Avenue. My intention here is to share my human experiences, spotlight valuable information that has provided great perspective and helped me to live more presently and more fully, with the hope of inspiring and elevating your own path. Have you ever faced a monumental crossroads, feeling utterly lost and questioning the very essence of your existence? If so, you're not alone. Today, I bare my soul to recount a pivotal moment that propelled me towards a transformative leap forward.

The Sign

To unravel the genesis of this journey, I recently mustered the courage to hit the pause button on a 14-year career in Corporate America, particularly while navigating the New York City agency scene from a remote setting. This decision was a convergence of truths—a dichotomy of experiences. On the one hand, New York City, my home for a decade, stands as an unparalleled teacher—a city that shapes grit and resilience like no other, offering a vast reservoir of high vibe people and experiences, and give it enough time, it will thicken your skin. On the flip side, within the agency and corporate life, the demand was constant and at times overwhelming.

Fully engrained in the grind like that, fully stepping back for myself, and I really mean fully, was impossible, because although I could counterbalance the daily grind and at times toxic environment with periodic recharges, coming back to a relentless cycle of demands and emails persisted and havocked my well-being. Personally, my “sign” was during a routine dental appointment, juggling work while getting my teeth cleaned, that the universe spoke to me. It took that moment for my body to scream that the work life I was leading needed better balance and just wasn't worth it.

As an inherently optimistic person with boundless positivity coursing through my veins, I was forced to confront a harsh reality—my being was simply not designed to work that way. I was forced to listen to my body, and it became clear: I had burned out. I needed to take a break, and after 14 years being a workhorse, I deserved it. So I made it happen—a conscious choice that now stands as one of my best life decisions. There are a lot of people who are burnt out from corporate life or too stagnant; most remain as they are, but some dare to leave it behind…

The Release

This release was an affirmation of a long-held truth— in my bigger picture, the awareness of my soul saw better. I totally acknowledge the financial luxury I had in being able to make this choice via some savings, a car, and supportive family. Acknowledging it's not an easy option for everyone, I’ll empathically share with you a bit more about how I did it. But I also highlight Marie Forleo’s famous quote that I truly believe applies to everyone regardless of circumstance: "Everything is Figureoutable." I say this to myself in the craziest of situations all the time and it works. I know if I could pivot away from what no longer served me, find alternative resources to get by, and start forging a new path, so can you. I’m not saying it’s always easy. But when there is a will, there is a way. It's about believing in oneself and embracing creative possibilities that are always within reach. There’s something to be said about going and dedicating time in your life away from the grind so you can focus on yourself and your dreams. Fully stepping away not forever, but for a bit has allowed me to recognize my true potential and be incredibly energized, that’s how I finally found the time to wind up here with you.

The comfort zone often shackles us, blinding us to our capabilities. Yet when we lean into our curiosities, test ourselves, confront our fears with action, push boundaries, and prove our capabilities, serious empowerment follows, and that energy becomes a positive ripple effect of empowerment with other people — through that mess, if you are willing to take the leap, is where the magic truly happens.

The Great Recalibration

So, what does this new chapter look like and how am I doing it? It's a redesign of my life, starting with a return to simplicity. On the financial front, I’ve paused my unnecessary designer retail therapy habit, temporarily returning to my childhood home to economize, and am calling it my Great Recalibration. I’ve taken this precious time to heal from the burnout, tidy up spaces (feng shui matters!), create new routines, take time to be introspective, indulge in curiosity and the things that I feel ecstatic about. I’m prioritizing a healthy lifestyle by eating clean, exercising, meditating regularly and trying my best to get good sleep. I’m taking every opportunity to revel in nature. I’ve used some savings for soul travel and am advancing my spiritual journey with Kabbalah classes. I’m diving into unexplored passions, for instance, launching this blog - my means of channeling creativity and sharing the modalities I’ve tapped into for inner peace amidst life's chaos. I’m immersing myself daily in learning about the business of content creation and am acquiring new skills in the space. I’m reading books like The Creative Act by Rick Rubin and The War of Art by Stephen Pressfield and spending time with people in the field who know the space. I’m immersing myself in Skillshare and going to conferences to network and learn. I’m deep diving into top-notch creator resources like SideWalker Daily, Canva, Square Space, CapCut, Trello and Planoly. I’m helping my sister with her Influencer business in order to practice said skills. And taking notes! Small steps build momentum. I’ve mapped new goals for this upcoming year and am excited for the journey however it plays out. Part of its allure lies in the ambiguity of my destination—planting seeds and seeing what sprouts. A multitude of possibilities awaiting exploration, embodying the core essence of my message I want you to take away here:

Set your intentions. Fall in love with your future more than you revisit your past. Fall in love with what you don’t even know is possible, in the “unpredictable,” with intense trust in your ability to figure things out, trust in the universe that everything is moving in divine order and in rhythm to get all of us to where we need to be. And then let it go and relax with that. That is the mother fuckin sweet spot.

Deciding to follow signs from life is an act of faith. What’s important is being present enough to take those cues from the universe (for me it was the revelation in the dental chair) that will allow you to hear the call, follow the path of your heart, let that voice lead you and break through to the next level of capacity. It’s about bringing those cues into the field with clarity and bouncing back knowing there’s a path to be walked with joy. “With enough focus, enough massive action, enough consistency, and a model that already works, anything and everything is within grasp.” – Tony Robbins. Humans can do amazing things when they are determined.

The Future

Following a few weeks of hypnotherapy and deep spiritual introspection, I find myself resonating with an overwhelming state of abundance, connected to an elevated state of consciousness that's outrageously exhilarating. It’s as if I’ve opened a powerful portal tapping into galactic modes of awakening. There’s been the most radiant energy, synchronicities happening on repeat, and magic unfolding before my eyes. It feels profoundly good--compelling me to document the moment and share with you here.

When we say yes to life, when we say yes to our goals and our vision, and we take that leap of faith, there’s usually a series of synchronicities and opportunities that will support us on that path to manifest whatever it is that we’re working towards. I’m actively in the trenches and it’s happening right before my eyes as I type this. But we have to be willing to take the leap of faith first. We have to be willing to move past our own fears and self-doubt and insecurities and not let our current circumstances stop us from moving forward and creating the realities we most desire. We are guided on this path. This is your reminder that if your soul is calling you forward on a specific path and you feel it, then take that leap of faith and trust.

This leads me to the concept of purpose. What are we here for? Discovering our purpose and living meaningfully. It’s something on my mind a lot--even more-so going through this transformation. Across all the frameworks I’ve read, a common denominator emerges: our purpose is to awaken the true nature of who we really are, reveal our core essence in our highest alignment, and help others do the same.

Arriving to a crossroads where I wound up quitting my job was a signal to explore untapped parts of myself. Simply granting myself permission to experiment was my starting point, then came embracing the uncertainty and dancing through it. In hindsight, work challenges and the willingness to walk away became a blessing because it’s allowed me to tap in right here right now and feel so alive and activate the essence of what I can offer. I’m going to continue to take leaps in the creative mode of life, just like I’m a child again, and in doing this, I know that my purpose will continue to reveal itself.

Let It Go, Let It Be, Let the Universe Take the Wheel

In conclusion, an invaluable lesson I have learned is that every experience has it’s reason. It's not just a cliche—our toughest challenges are our greatest teachers, our losses are where our soul gets to go to school and that’s how we grow and build resilience, which shapes our character. A wise Himalayan Lama from Tibet once told me, "Thank your greatest problems. They brought you here. It's that simple." And he's absolutely right. When life is shitty, we must shift our mindset, be grateful for challenges, and transform them into positive energy. Remember, you’re never alone and there are resources. If you don’t believe me, check back here.

Thank you for your presence. My content will center around expanding your mind, honoring your body, nourishing your soul, sharing information I’ve collected and found valuable to keep your highest self-aligned. I’ll explore a range of resources and topics that gave my life a deeper sense of meaning with an emphasis on travel, wellness, adventure and exploring spirituality such as meditation, manifestation through vision boarding, living abroad as a digital nomad, egg-fertility preservation, unique events and experiences, Ayahuasca, music, podcasts, books, self-care rituals, recommended brands, products and places and the pursuit of joy in solitude, living fully and freely. Some think blogs are dead; I beg to differ: this life is about sharing.

By the way - after I wrote this as timing would have it, I came across an inspirational podcast oh so very complimentary to this topic and worth a listen. I took some power punched quotes that gave me the chills for ya’ll below. Beautiful food for thought.

Spiritually Hungry Episode 162: Looking for a Sign: 3 Life - Altering Truths About Synchronicity

“In order for us to live the life that we’re meant to live with the blessings we’re meant to have and the direction we’re meant to have you have to be constantly desiring and open to these messages. Because it’s almost like going on a journey without a map. These messages, these synchronicities are actually the map from the creative force of the universe to direct us in the right place and if you’re not growing in your ability to see them, to observe them to receive them, to understand them, you’re missing so much of the direction you’re meant to be having in your life and you can wind up in the wrong place.”

“The East bases much of it’s science on this irregularity and considers coincidences as the reliable basis of the world rather than causality. Synchronism is the prejudice of the East, causality is the modern prejudice of the west. Synchronicity is one benefit when you live in the realm of the natural state of things and it includes the understanding of this force that is directing us and bringing us toward growth, change and transformation, and a better place. It takes us out of our day to day and our errands and our lists, and our projects and our comittments so much so we’re in that realm we lose sight of the bigger picture and synchronicity is what takes us back to and helps us realign to our highest self and our truest purpose. “
